Privacy policy
Giggle Moon is a picture-book app for young children. We built it so that children can read safely, and that means collecting as little as possible. This policy covers the Giggle Moon app and this website.
The short version
- We do not collect names, email addresses, photos, voice recordings or location from anyone using the app.
- There are no accounts, no chat and no way for children to contact other people.
- There are no advertising or tracking tools in the app.
- Your child's progress (stars earned, the hidden moon found, the chosen language and settings) is stored only on your device. We never receive it. Deleting the app deletes it.
Buying books
If books are offered for sale, payments are handled by Google Play (in the app) or by a payment provider on our website. They process your payment details under their own privacy policies; we do not see or store card details. We only receive what we need to give you the book you bought, such as a record that the purchase happened.
Information we do not collect
The stories, pictures, narration and sounds are all inside the app. Reading a book does not send anything about you or your child to us.
This website
This website does not use cookies or analytics. Like every website, the company that hosts it (Cloudflare) briefly processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver pages and keep the site secure. Some pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which may log your IP address under Google's privacy policy.
If you send us feedback or email us
Our feedback page (opened by a grown-up from the app's locked Grown-ups corner, or from this website) asks for a message. Your name, email address, the book and your child's age are optional. We store what you send, with the date, for up to two years, only to improve Giggle Moon and to reply if you asked us to. Your internet address is used briefly to stop spam and is not stored. If you write to gigglemoonbooks@gmail.com, we use your email only to reply. Please do not send us your child's full name or photos. To have a message deleted, email us.
Children
Giggle Moon is designed for children under 13 together with their parents. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
